Born in London, I live and work in Suffolk and Norwich. I studied at Hammersmith College of Art and Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.  Following a career as a script editor and television drama producer, I changed direction midlife to work as an illustrator for Medici Galleries, Woodmansterne Cards, Paperhouse Designs, Peter’s Editions Music, English Heritage and Barefoot Childrens’ Books, amongst others. More recently, I switched from commissioned work to fine art and have exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London, Towner Gallery Eastbourne, Buckingham Gallery Southwold, Suffolk Craft Sociey, Snape Maltings Gallery, Chalk Gallery Lewes and Gallery East, Woodbridge.

My paintings are mostly abstract representations of places I’ve been. I’m particularly interested in the non-topographical elements of landscape and how it makes us feel, with the process of painting becoming an act of revealing…. My work is continually evolving in the search for new (to me) relationships between shape, texture, tone and colour.
